By default, the obfuscated JavaScript generated by CssHidex will not run on Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) and old browsers, which don't support the document.currentScript method. If you want to make your CSS work on IE11 and the old browsers, you need to generate an ID and attach it to the obfuscated JavaScript.
To generate an ID,
1 |
Log in to the CssHidex admin panel if you haven't already done so. |
2 |
Click the Generate ID for IE11 pane (see below) to open the Generate ID for IE11 dialog box. |
Generate ID for IE11 pane
3 |
In the Generate ID for IE11 dialog box, check the checkbox. |
Check the checkbox
4 |
Click OK to save the changes. |
Click OK
Now you have enabled the Generate ID for IE11 feature. From now on, every time you generate obfuscated JavaScript by clicking Obfuscate, an ID is also generated like shown below.
Example for generating an ID
When you install the JavaScript file, make sure you assign the ID to the JavaScript script tag.
(e.g.)
<script id=". . . PUT THE ID HERE . . ."></script>
