Welcome to Chatapp ("the App"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using this App, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional guidelines or rules applicable to specific features. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you are of legal age and have the authority to agree to these Terms.
3. User Conduct
You agree not to use the App to:
- Upload, share, or transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- Violate the rights of others, including privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights.
- Spread malware, spam, or other malicious content.
- Engage in hate speech, harassment, or bullying in any chatroom or direct messages (DMs).
- Use the proxy browser for any illegal or unauthorized activity.
4. Content Sharing
The App allows you to upload and share audio and video content, as well as participate in a global chatroom and create private group chats and DMs (Direct Messages). You agree that:
- You own or have the right to share any content you upload UNLESS it does not comply with the rules, above and below this section.
- You grant Chatapp a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, host, display, and share your content as necessary to operate the App.
- Shared content may be visible to all users or specific users depending on how it's shared.
- The Chatapp moderation team and/or system may remove or restrict content at any time for any reason.
5. Global Chatroom and DMs
- The global chatroom is accessible to all users and should be treated as a public space.
- DMs are private but still subject to moderation policies and may be reviewed if a participant reports another user in the same DM.
- Inappropriate behavior or illegal content is prohibited and may result in suspension or termination.
6. Proxy Browser Use
- You are responsible for any activity conducted through the proxy.
- It may not be used to access illegal content, bypass local regulations, or engage in malicious activity.
- Chatapp is not liable for any third-party content accessed via the proxy browser.
- You must still comply with these Terms while using the proxy.
7. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or misuse the App.
8. Content Moderation
We may monitor public areas and remove content or restrict access at our discretion. Private areas may be reviewed when reports or illegal/suspicious activity occur.
9. Intellectual Property
All non-user content/code is the property of Chatapp or its licensors. Do not reproduce, distribute, or modify without written consent.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- The App is provided “as is” without warranties.
- No guarantee of security, error-free operation, or uptime.
- We are not liable for user-generated content, harm from shared media, or proxy browsing. We’re not responsible for in/out-of-class usage outcomes.

11. Privacy
Use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Compliance to the MBMS Student Handbook
We do not integrate traditional IM protocols (SMS/MMS/AIM/XMPP/RCS, etc.). Chatapp uses WebSockets and is not a conventional IM platform. By agreeing, you acknowledge and will follow these guidelines.
