WHY VERIFICATION?

In the past, we tried several solutions to reduce the issue of fishing in matches. Some solutions included: verifying players via SMS, implementing paywalls, Steam hour account requirements, making substantial changes to our matchmaking algorithm, etc.

While they helped reduce issues, they were only partially effective and couldn't stop fishing and multi-account abuse in matches. Due to the increasing need among players for direct solutions to trust issues, we developed a radical solution — a free opt-in verification, which is an unparalleled layer of security that can help build a more trustworthy community.
