Install C++ Redistributables & DirectX
- C++ Redistributables:
Download the Microsoft Visual C++ All-in-One Runtime installer fromTechPowerUp and install both x64 & x86 packages. - DirectX:
Download the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from Microsoft:Download DirectX and run it.
Disable Anti-Virus
Use Sordum’s Defender Control to fully disable Microsoft Defender:
- Download “Defender Control v2.1” fromSordum and unzip it.
- Right-click
dControl.exeand choose Run as administrator. - Optionally, open the Menu and select Add it to the exclusion list to prevent false positives.
- Click the Disable Windows Defender button; the status will turn red indicating Defender is off.
