These Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") apply to all website design, development, and hosting services provided by Melissa's Melts LTS ("Developer", "we", "our", "me") to you ("Client", "you", "your").
This document is legally binding.
By paying the non-refundable £2 deposit, you confirm that:
- You have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms
- You are entering into a service agreement
- You acknowledge that this TOS is mentioned on the website multiple times and is publicly accessible before payment
1. Service Overview
This service provides custom static websites using HTML, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript. Each project includes:
- Up to 4 pages (Home, About, Services, Contact) or mutually agreed variations
- 100% mobile-friendly, responsive design
- Site preview within 7 days after deposit confirmation and all required content is submitted
- One round of free revisions before final approval
- Optional add-ons priced separately (see Section 5)
- Free hosting, with the client responsible only for purchasing a domain
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting payment of the £2 deposit, you confirm you accept all terms outlined in this document.
- These Terms are linked or referenced on multiple parts of the website.
- You are responsible for reviewing the TOS before paying.
- Ignorance of the terms is not a valid reason for refund disputes or legal complaints.
3. Client Responsibilities
You must:
- Contact me first via [Facebook / Instagram / WhatsApp] to discuss the project
- Provide all necessary materials, including:
- Your business name and description
- Logo (if applicable)
- Page titles and content
- Preferred contact info (email, social link, etc.)
- Images or other media (or agree to placeholder use)
You are solely responsible for:
- Ensuring content provided is legal, truthful, and owned/licensed by you
- Responding within 3 days of requests for clarification or review
- Making final decisions in a timely manner
If you delay communication or do not provide materials within 7 days of paying, your project will be closed and considered delivered without refund.
4. Timelines & Delivery
- After the deposit is paid and your content is received, you will receive a preview of the completed site within 7 calendar days
- Delivery times may shift slightly if content is missing or client delays occur
- The "7-day" timeframe begins only after full content is submitted
- If you do not reply to the preview link within 3 days, your right to revision or cancellation is forfeited
- Delivery means you receive a complete, functional preview of your static website, whether or not you choose to proceed with publishing.
Please note: The more add-ons or custom requests you select, the longer the website may take to deliver. Timeline estimates will be updated accordingly and communicated before development continues.
5. Add-On Features

6.1 Expanded Scope = New Deposit & Pricing
If you request features beyond the standard 4-page static package, such as:
- Additional pages or sections
- Custom animations, interactions, or design components
- Backend functions, dashboards, logins, APIs, or databases
...then:
- The initial £2 deposit becomes void
- A new deposit will be required based on the revised project scope
- The £20 fixed payment no longer applies — a new quote will be issued
This prevents abuse of the low-price starter offer. Your project will pause until the new deposit is paid.
7. Scope Creep & Exploitation Protection
To protect the service and time of the developer:
- Minor requests may be honored within reason, but repeated "micro-changes" or out-of-scope demands will be rejected
- Any attempt to trick or pressure the developer into unpaid labor or expanded work is exploitation
I reserve the right to:
- Refuse ongoing requests outside the package
- Cancel projects that become exploitative
- Block or blacklist clients engaging in abuse
This is a low-cost service meant for fairness, not manipulation.
8. Hosting Terms
- Hosting is free and provided for all delivered websites
- You are responsible for buying and renewing your domain
Hosting may be revoked for:
- Illegal, abusive, or spam content
- Inactivity or non-response after 30 days
- Breach of these Terms
9. Intellectual Property
- You own the final website only after full payment of £20+ is made
- Until full payment, all code and assets remain the property of the developer
You may not:
- Claim ownership of the website before payment
- Remove developer credit without permission
- Resell or redistribute the design/code unless agreed in writing
10. Prohibited Use & Content
Sites will not be built for:
- Hate speech or harassment
- Adult/pornographic content
- Fraudulent or fake services
- Misleading health or financial claims
- Malware, spyware, or phishing
Violation of these rules will result in refusal, cancellation, or legal reporting.
11. Refund & Cancellation Policy
The £2 deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Lack of communication or missed deadlines by the client
- Changing your mind or claiming you "didn't know" the terms
- Saying "I didn't receive anything" when preview was sent
- Final payment is made only if you approve the preview
- After final payment, no refund will be issued
- All chargebacks will be fought with full documentation and may result in account suspension or legal action
12. Limitation of Liability
This is a freelance service provided as-is
I am not responsible for your business results, traffic, or sales
I am not liable for:
- Broken links caused by client edits
- Expired domains
- Misinformation in your provided content
- Delays from platforms, power outages, or external forces
13. Legal Agreement
- These Terms follow the laws of the United Kingdom
- Any disputes will be governed under that jurisdiction
- If any section is invalid, the rest remain enforceable
- This document overrides informal or verbal agreements
14. Acceptance of These Terms
By paying the £2 deposit, you agree to:
- All clauses above
- All disclaimers, limitations, and refund rules
- Allow the developer to update or revise these Terms at any time without prior notice
- Permit the developer to modify your page content if necessary for functionality, formatting, or corrections
You understand this is a legally binding service agreement and will be upheld accordingly.
