Normally the graph is plotted 'Real Time' (as you type)
Inputs are preserved on same device/browser, unsless altered
Pan and Zoom are "ON" by default
Greek letter 'Iota' = \( \sqrt{-1} \) ... shows if (some) roots are not real. If you have not studied it yet, just say 'No Real Solution'
x power 2 will be shown by x^2. ^ is normally above '6' in the keyboard
7 times x may be written 7x or 7*x
9 divide x may be written as 9/x
For \( \frac{3}{4}x \), enter (3/4)x . For \(\frac{3}{4x} \)enter 3/(4x)
Must enter equation in lower case \(x\)
No other variable.
Only \(x\) Not \(X\)
Must be a correct Quadratic Equation
First, because the app is designed to solve (very) complex equations also...
(2*x-6)*x= (9*x+3)*(1/5)*(x-1) or even (much) more complex
Second, the app is designed for all levels of students... what is useless for one student, may be useful for another... you may ignore simple (useless) steps
Quadratic formula will Not work as it is for \(x^2\) only. However, the final soutions (Exact and Decimal) will be provided in the last two lines.
If the application becomes unresponsive or gets stuck in a loop, you may need to clear your browser's cache and local storage. This can usually be done through your browser's settings or developer tools. Please note that this will also remove any saved data or settings for our application.
