This guide will explain how to install pkShortURL in your website.

Unzipping product zip file

Unzip the product zip file you received onto your Desktop. You will find a folder k^pksurl$ and a file called k^.htaccess$. Upload both of them to the root directory of your website. (If an k^.htaccess$ file already exists in the directory, do not overwrite it.)

Running installation script

Open b^pksurl/install/index.php$ in your browser. You will see the first page of the installation script, as shown below.

Click k^Start$ to start installation process.

Entering Database Settings

In the second page, you will enter your database settings.

Fill out the form and click b^Next$.

Remove the b^pksurl/install$ folder from your website to avoid a security risk.

Click k^pkShortURL admin panel$ to open the login page of pkShortURL admin panel.
