p
In the k^%root-folder-name%$ folder that you installed in l^installation|the installation page$, there is a folder named k^examples$, which contains %app-name% demo pages. b^%app-name%$ is preset in these demo pages, allowing you to observe how it works by opening them in your browser.

p
b^NOTE$: If you no longer need the demo pages, you can delete the k^examples$ folder from your website. Deleting the k^examples$ folder does not affect b^%app-name%$.

t
Viewing demo pages in browser

p
To view demo pages, open b^hobfus/examples/index.php$ in your browser. You will see the menu of the %app-name% demo pages, as shown below. Click a menu item to open it in another tab.

t
Viewing obfuscated code

p
%app-name% obfuscates the HTML code generated by the demo PHP pages. Let's see how it is obfuscated. We will use the demo index page ( b^/hobfus/examples/index.php$) as an example.

p
Open the demo index page in your browser if it is not opened yet.

s
Right-click the demo index page. A popup menu appears.

i

s
Select k^View Page Source$ from the pop-up menu to see the page source in a new tab.

i
view-page-source
Click "View Page Source"

<?php if(0): ?>

p
In the new tab, you will see the obfuscated source code of the webpage b^... Or Maybe Not!$

p
If you don't see any obfuscated code in the new tab, it could be beyond the right edge of the browser because, by default, %app-name% outputs 100 tabs before the code. You may need to scroll to the right to see it.

t
Viewing PHP source code

p
Now let's check out the original PHP source code of the demo pages. Open b^hobfus/examples/$ in your file manager (not web browser!). You will find all the demo files here.

i
examples
hobfus/examples/

p
Open demo files in a text editor to view the source code.

p
When you browse the demo PHP files, you may notice that in most of the files, the code is enclosed in k^HObfus_begin()$ and k^HObfus_end()$ like

code
kh^<?php HObfus_begin(); ?>$
...........................
...........................
...........................
kh^<?php HObfus_end(); ?>$
/code

p
k^HObfus_begin()$ and k^HObfus_end()$ will mark the beginning and end point of obfuscation. These two functions allow you to specify the code to obfuscate. For more information about k^HObfus_begin()$ and k^HObfus_end()$, see l^using-hobfus|Using HObfus$.
