What is Obfirmo?
Obfirmo is a secure, offline password manager that uses a single master password along with your personal Obfirmo ID to deterministically generate strong, unique passwords for every service. Everything is processed locally on your device—no data is ever sent to the internet.
How to Set Up
On first launch, create a master password to unlock your vault. This master password is essential; if forgotten, your encrypted data cannot be recovered.
Then, configure your password generation settings:
- Obfirmo ID: Your unique identifier for password generation.
- Master Key for Generation: A dedicated key used together with your ID to create your passwords.
- Password Length: Set the desired length (default is 32 characters).
- Password Version: Increment this number to update your password scheme without changing your master key.
- Character Sets: Choose which types to include—lowercase, uppercase, numbers, and symbols.
- Auto Lock: Define an idle timeout (in seconds) to automatically lock your vault.
- Lock on Blur: Enable this to auto-lock when the app loses focus.
- Master Password Update: Change your master password at any time (this will re-encrypt all data and require a re-login).

Obfirmo is built to keep your data completely private with robust AES-GCM encryption. The entire process runs offline—no external servers, telemetry, or remote access features are ever involved.

By using Obfirmo, you acknowledge that if you lose your master password, your encrypted data will be permanently inaccessible.
