1. Are there discrepancies in the results when using the Search API (intelx.io) vs the Leaks API (identity.intelx.io)?
Both APIs access the same underlying dataset. However, due to different limits, timeouts and caching small discrepancies in the number of results may appear.

2. I observe different results in the “Export Leaked Accounts” section than searching on intelx.io.
The “Export Leaked Accounts” section shows a subset of all results available via Intelligence X; it lists only accounts that are potential username/password pairs.

3. How long does each search started via the /live/search/internal endpoint last before automatically terminating?
Each search will be auto terminated in 5 minutes if not terminated earlier explicitly via /live/search/terminate.

4. How do I download a file in Identity Portal?
The Identity Portal and its Leaks API provide no functionality to download a file. However, using the Search API from intelx.io you can use the /file/read API endpoint to download files specified either by the item’s System ID or by its Storage ID.

5. What is the format of the “datefrom” and “dateto” parameters in /live/search/internal?
To filter the results based on dates, use the “datefrom” and “dateto” parameters for the /live/search/internal endpoint when starting the search. Both dates will be required if the date filter is used.

Here is an example date: “2023-03-21 00:00:00”
Don't forget to encode (escape) the date when putting it into the URL. I.e. it becomes: &datefrom=2023-03-21%2000%3A00%3A00&dateto=2023-03-27%2000%3A00%3A00
